Shimao is committed to continuously improving its employees' occupational health and safety management, safeguarding the safety of employees and migrant workers, implementing an equal and diversified employment policy, and continuously improving the effectiveness and experience of employee training. Establishing a green and sustainable supply chain, providing high quality services and protecting users' information security.
We manage our office areas and business projects in accordance with the requirements of international occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMS), and actively increase the proportion of projects with occupational health and safety management systems certification. Our subsidiary Shimao Services has been certified to ISO 45001 and our major commercial projects have also been certified to ISO 45001. We are in the process of obtaining ISO 45001 certification for the office areas of Shimao Group and regional companies and expect to obtain the relevant certificates in 2022. At the same time, we are reviewing the OHSMS-related qualifications of our suppliers and contractors during the tendering process, giving priority to those who have obtained ISO 45001 certification.
The Company has also set targets for 2025 and 2030 covering occupational health and safety for all employees and contractors.

Occupational SafetyOrganise education on occupational safety for all staff with a 100% training coverage rate. The contents range from working at height, traffic safety, etc., to improve the safety awareness of all staff, prevent and reduce work related accidents and occupational dangers.

Customer

Shimao has always maintained a high pursuit of user service quality, improving service quality in all aspects through the homeowner service hotline, community environment renewal and smart community construction to achieve full coverage, no dead ends and zero blind spots in management and to deliver excellence to every Shimao family. In 2020, the total number of users served was 3.2 million with 89% satisfaction. In addition, Shimao has developed comprehensive information security control measures to strictly manage customer privacy and ensure personal information security.

Suppliers

We have established policies such as “Shimao Group Sustainable Development Policy General Program”, “Shimao Group Policy on Human Rights”, “Shimao Group Policy on Occupational Health and Safety Management” and “Shimao Group Code of Conduct for Suppliers”. At the same time, we give preference to suppliers and contractors who have obtained ISO 14001 environmental management system certification and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management system certification, or who can provide environmentally friendly products and services. As of November 2021, the percentage of our general contractors certified to both ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards exceeded 85%.
Shimao keeps a close eye on the environmental and social risks in the supply chain, maintains tracking and assessment of suppliers and contractors, carries out classification and grading management, supports suppliers and contractors with excellent quality and environmental friendliness, terminates unqualified suppliers and works together with partners towards the transformation of a sustainable and green supply chain.
