On the morning of 13 April 2010, the ground-breaking ceremony of Dalian Shimao Carnival Project (temporary name), a sparkling project that attracts market attention, was held at the site of Jinzhou New District in Dalian of Liaoning Province.
The ceremony was attended by a host of officials from the central government and related departments of Liaoning Province and Dalian, including Mr. Quan Zhezhu, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee and secretary of CPC Leading Party Group; Mr. Ren Qiliang, Deputy Director of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of The State Council; Mr. Xia Deren, a member of the Standing Committee of the provincial Party Committee of Liaoning Province and Secretary of Dalian Committee of the CPC and Mr. Li Wanchang, Mayer of Dalian. Mr. Zheng Wantong, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, Mr. Li Haifeng, Director of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of The State Council, Mr. Lin Jun, Chairman of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and other officials also sent messages of congratulations to the Company for the project.
Mr. Li Wanchang, Mayor of Dalian Municipal Government, delivered a speech at the ceremony, wishing every success for the development of the Project. He stated that the development of Dalian Shimao Carnival, an integrated tourism development project in Jinbo Coast, earmarked the remarkable progress of the construction of a modern waterfront area and an important waterfront scenic area in the city. Among them, the ultra-large indoor theme park covers approximately 600,000 sq. m. in GFA, and is set to be the most avant-garde indoor theme park and shopping mall around-the-clock throughout the year and a brand new landmark of Dalian for commerce and tourism, which is expected to lure about 20 million tourists every year.
Jinbo Coast in Jinzhou has been included in the planning of core urban area in Dalian and is the only development area that boasts a variety of modern services in the heart of this new waterfront area of the city and the coastal economic belt in Liaoning, according to the Urban Development Plan in Dalian. The project will be ultimately developed into a world-class resort paradise providing quality modern services.
